Changes to the Google bot should occur frequently for Google to keep a superior search engine. I say that considering what the bots are doing is not the question. The question is how can I avoid search engine algorithm penalties now? The only SEO thing that comes to mind is to hide your site's crosslinking. Do this by avoiding all sites at same server, don't put all your sites in Google Analytics and only spend the necessary time at your sites for IP Address secrecy. Bots may consider an IP Adress in that the sites that you frequent should be the sites that you maintain.
