Dallas, Texas United States 10/28/2006 – Community Server is rapidly becoming the software of choice for organizations building web communities.
“Microsoft’s Windows Vista blog provides Microsoft and the Windows Vista team with an effective and direct way to communicate with their customers,” says Kristi Payne Telligent Program Manager, “and is yet another example of how Community Server is used to help organizations understand their customers and participate in discussions about their products.”
The new Windows Vista blog http://windowsvistablog.com/ officially launched on October 25th 2006 at 5:30 PM CST with its first entry coming from Jim Allchin, Co-president of the Platform and Services division at Microsoft.
“We’re all about helping organizations understand and apply web community technologies, such as blogs, web discussions, and more, as effective communication and knowledge management tools,” says Rob Howard, CEO of Telligent. “Businesses are quickly finding out just how powerful web communities are and everyday we speak to organizations who are trying to understand how to apply communities for their business.”
Telligent’s Community Server includes integrated multi-user blogging, forums, file sharing, video-casting, podcasting, and photo sharing along with an integrated set of tools for managing all of these applications and site users. The most recent version of the Community Server platform, version 2.1, was released August 2006.
