Search Systems Free Public Record Directory Adds Premium Service
4/25/2005 6:03:55 AM

Search Systems (http://www.searchsystems.net/) today announced the release of its new Premium public record service (http://premium.searchsystems.net/).

LOS ANGELES, April 25 -- Search Systems (http://www.searchsystems.net/) today announced the release of its new Premium public record service (http://premium.searchsystems.net/).

Search Systems in 1997 was the first to establish a free directory of hard-to-find public record databases. Since then Search Systems' directory has grown and now provides access to over 27,000 free databases. Each link is handpicked for content and usefulness and is offered with a service description.

"There are advantages and disadvantages to free and fee-based databases," said Tim Koster, CEO and Founder of Pacific Information Resources, Inc. dba Search Systems. "The free links obviously offer a cost savings over fee services, plus the information is more current than what the fee services can provide. But it can take time to search the free databases since you have to search for information county-by-county or state-by-state."

"Our Premium service provides additional information that isn't available for free, but more importantly aggregates data to provide multi-jurisdictional searches presented in a common format. It's a question of whether you want to save time or save money. Our goal is to provide a one-stop shop where consumers may search our site for the information they want for free and save money, or use our Premium service to search for information statewide or nationwide quickly and inexpensively."

Search Systems' public record service offers the public the chance to get the facts on people or businesses. Researchers can verify contractor and professional licenses, check out corporations, and look up property records and business permits. The site provides access to marriage and death records, inmate status, criminal records, and even the location of sex offenders. The Premium service currently offers comprehensive access to statewide and nationwide background searches of criminal records, bankruptcies, judgments, and tax liens, with more databases planned.

"We've received over 31 million visitors and are currently ranked number one for searches for public records on Google, Yahoo, AOL Search, MSN Search, and Alta Vista," said Koster. "We don't encourage 'spy-on-your-neighbor' activities though. We established this service to help people find the information they need to make important decisions."

Pacific Information Resources, Inc. dba Search Systems is a privately owned, Thousand Oaks, California based company.
