Morantex announce the first beta preview of Persistore, an innovative date persistence component for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. Persistore delivers powerful fully managed support for shared memory, memory mapped files and object and data persistence.
Unlike O/R mapping technology, Persistore uses a sophisticated unmanaged layer to support demanding applications that need to share data in real-time or store arbitrarily complex objects. Any C#, J# or VB.NET application or service, can for the first time incorporate memory mapped file functionality with ease, share .NET variables and arrays across process boundaries and safely store vast volumes of data, including XML or any kind of file data.
Persistore can be used in any OS service, application, web service, web app or windows app and on 64-bit Windows the product makes the full 8,000 Gigabyte virtual address space available for persistent data storage; this address space is far larger than most hard disks today! Persistore enables you to store vast volumes of data inside fully managed repositories; instead of storing hundreds or thousands of XML files in your file system or a database, they can be stored (literally just dragged with a mouse!) inside a Persistore repository.
Treat a repository almost like a disk, by creating directories to help organize storage. The library makes it easy to read, write, update and delete any serializable .NET object; Persistore is fully aware of class version information and makes it simple to store and retrieve different versions of classes. Why serialize objects to files when you can serialize hundreds or thousands of diverse objects to a SINGLE repository!
Persistore includes powerful tools and debugging aids and provides support for memory and data protection even in power failure situations.
