'Go East Young Man' is today's cry.
EuroDNS, one of Europe's leading Domain Name Registrars, today announced the launch of www.asiadns.com to expand into the Asia/Pacific region, the world's largest and fastest growing Internet Market.
"With our proven success of www.eurodns.com in serving the 25-country Europe Union market, and pending the emergence of the new '.eu' domain later this year, we have chosen this spring to address China, India and the associated Pacific-rim countries with the formation of 'AsiaDNS", said Xavier Buck, EuroDNS's C.E.O. "The potential for domain name registrations in this market is enormous, while European interest in Asia is growing exponentially."
Timed to highlight India's expanded Internet registry, culminating in the ending of its 'Sunrise' period late last month, EuroDNS's announced plans will include coverage of all major Asian countries. The company already offers Domain name services in China, both Mainland and Hong Kong, India, Japan, and Taiwan and Singapore. All other Asian countries will be added as soon as the respective accreditation procedures have been completed.
EuroDNS's market analysis estimates that some 225 Million Internet users exist in the two main Asian markets - China and India, but only 7 Million Domain names have been registered. This penetration of Internet users versus population and the number of Domain names per Internet user - both good indicators of the market development and potential - is only a fraction of similar figures for Europe and the US.
Western companies also represent a virtually untapped market. Interest in protecting their company names in Asian markets is becoming a priority as they vie for access to these markets, while Asia companies are already active in establishing their names and websites here in Europe.
